Bio

Don Maness is a versatile singer/musician playing several genres of music:

  • Country – “Classic country, 80's/90's country, Texas country, and today's hits."  Influences include Merle Haggard, Keith Whitley, George Strait, Tyler Childers, and Jason Aldean.
  • Classic/Southern Rock – “Covering all of the greats with a hard driving acoustic sound.”  Influences include Marshall Tucker, Bob Segar, the Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and the Allman Brothers.
  • Blues – “History of the Blues from the Mississippi Delta, to Memphis, ending in Chicago."  Influences include Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Howlin Wolf and RL Burnside.  Don performs with period correct instruments including a 1934 National Style O resonator, a 1937 Gibson L-00 acoustic guitar, and a 1958 Kaye Swingmaster electric guitar.

As a result of his broad repertoire, Don can custom tailor gigs for the venue and audience.

Don lives in Fort Worth, TX.  He is currently playing venues in North Texas including the Fort Brewery, Keller Tavern, Rock & Tacos, Silo Park, Barons Creek Winery, White Elephant Saloon, Pearl's Saloon, Red Barrell Bar and Grill, Hemmingways, Bleacher's Sports Griller, Heim Barbecue.  

Within the United States, Don has performed in Nashville at the Bluebird Cafe, Nashville Palace, BB Kings, and the Late Night Grand Old Opry.  He has performed at numerous venues in Asheville NC, Charlotte NC, Columbus OH, Phoenix AZ, Pittsburgh PA, Bismarck ND, Atlanta GA, Houston TX, and San Antonio TX.  Outside of the United States, Don has performed in France (Nice and Paris), China (Shanghai, Beijing, Chongqing), Canada (London Ontario)
